The youngest son of Daniel Covington was expelled from the east coast boarding school after being caught in bed with the headmaster's goddaughter after curfew. He then arrived in Radcliffe, where his father forced him to stay and attend Radcliffe High School. Soon he made friends with Elijah Barker, Lynn, and Tanner Lockhart. The latter and he initially didn't get along until they got to know one another when she started teaching him how to drive. They eventually started dating, much to the disapproval of Tanner's grandfather, Peter Saunders, due to years of sordid history between the families. In the summer of 2019, when Tanner went away to a music program in Boston, It was then that he got closer to Jordan McKnight. He invited her to Max's wedding, where they kissed. Yet, he decided to keep it to himself since he wanted to stay with Tanner. 

The truth came out in October 2020 on Oahu during Tanner's father's wedding; when the two got into an argument about him being fed up with Tanner not wanting to have sex, he blurted out what happened between Jordan and him the previous summer. She couldn't let go of the betrayal, and they eventually broke up. He found himself turning up at Jordan's hotel room, where they proceeded to have sex; it didn't take long for him to realize he wanted Tanner back, which he managed to do on Christmas. A month or so after he found out that Jordan was pregnant, Not wanting anything to do with her, he initially gave her money for an abortion. When she had nowhere to go, he provided her with a room at the Miller Inn. He wasn't pleased when his father filed for custody of the baby and decided to help Jordan leave town after giving birth on the Fourth of July; he and Tanner went out of town to finally have sex, but before they could, he received a call that his newborn son wasn't doing well. So, he confessed everything to Tanner, which ultimately ended their relationship. Meanwhile, he had to become the main caregiver when Jordan, who was struck with post-partum depression, left town, leaving their son in his care.
