MCKNIGHT RESIDENCE
Of the three years he has known her, Tommy Covington had only been to Jordan's house one other time was for her party when they were all still in high school. The attraction he had for her was growing then. Her beautiful porcelain oval face with this great figure. But he felt guilty about having those thoughts since he is in his first serious relationship with, Tanner whom he loves. And one night, he lost sight of that when he had sex with Jordan when they all were in Oahu during Tanner's father's wedding. Recalling him not having a condom but he assumed Jordan was on some form of birth control. Yesterday, however, that one night would forever change his life when he found out from Aaliyah that she and Lorenzo were at The Chateau when they overheard Tricia telling Jordan she should tell her baby's father about everything. He barely got any sleep last night after being awarded for his outstanding grades by the dean.

Now he is standing on the top of the porch readying himself to talk to her; finally, he presses the doorbell in which he hears the faint sound of the prolonged chime. When he looks up, he sees her opening the front door.
"What do you want?" Jordan demands
Tommy puts both hands into his pants pockets. "I need to talk to you. Can I come in?"

She shifts her head as she is contemplating what was said to her. She then opens the door allowing him inside the ranch style house. As she leads him into the living room, he notices in the daylight the house looked hardly lived in, remembering her telling him that since her oldest brother died a few years ago, her family hasn't been the same. Her chief of police father spends more time at the station, and her mother is usually in her bedroom, still in a depressed state.

Tommy then tries to see anything different about her to determine for himself if she is having a baby. Yet, they were not any telltale signs. Her physique is still slim, and the only thing different about her is that she isn't wearing a mini dress or top showing off her midriff. At the moment, she is wearing a black long sleeve Aeropostale 1987 graphic shirt with jeans, and her long blonde hair is in a ponytail.
"I want the truth," he says
"And what would that be, Tommy?"
"Jordan, are you pregnant?"
THE CHATEAU
With her work schedule being light this early afternoon, Mala Gupta decided to take her two children out for brunch before she has to go back to Covington. The three were sitting at a table near the bar as orchestral music is playing above them.
"Between lunch here with Lorenzo and dinner with everyone last night. I hardly need to look at the menu," Aaliyah Gupta says casually.
Mala lifts her glass of orange juice to take a drink. "Lorenzo can afford lunch here?"

Aaliyah sets aside the menu onto the table, disappointed in her mother for disapproving of her boyfriend because he comes from working-class means. "He wanted to pay, but I insisted we pay for our meals separately."
"I think Lorenzo is a fine young man, but I don't think he is the right person for you."
Samuel Gupta decides to step into his role as mediator between the two most important women in his life. "Mom, he is an 18-year-old college student, not a contestant on The Bachelorette,"

"Anyway, mommy, I'm not marrying him nor anyone anytime soon; besides, he is talented; did you know he is the only freshman working on the crew of our school's TV production," Aaliyah says defensively.
Mala has a look of regret upon her face. "Okay, I'm sorry I didn't mean to insult him."

"Did my ears deceive me, or did Mala Makkar Gupta admit she is sorry?"
The three turn to acknowledge the person who said it,

"Oh my god! Dad," Samuel says somewhat, astonished.
Aaliyah gets out of her chair with so much energy she leaps into her father's arms. "Daddy," she states cheerfully.
He picks her up off the ground, swinging her around a bit before putting her back down.
Mala remains in her seat, taken back by her soon-to-be ex-husband's sudden appearance. "Jai," she says to herself.
THE WATERFALL BAR
On today's playlist, Rihanna's 'All Of The Lights' is on the sound system. The crowd is thin due to it being still working hours.
Antoine Hall gives a glass of merlot to Tricia Lockhart, who is at the bar. The two friends were catching up since it had been a while since they had seen each other.
"Oh, by the way, thank you for the air fryer. Sean has been using that thing non-stop for the last few weeks."
Antoine gave the newlywed couple the device for their wedding present.
"At least it's gettin some use," Antoine winks at her in a friendly manner.

Will Jackson approaches Antoine from behind the bar. "The delivery man needs a signature,"
Antoine shrugs. "You do it,"
He didn't understand why he is needed to sign something that Will usually takes care of when items get delivered here.
"The guy said he needs it from someone who is in charge that would be you, manager," Will counters back.
"You didn't tell me about the promotion Antoine, welcome to the club," Tricia says
Yesterday, Mae appointed Antoine to manage the bar. He hadn't been going around bragging since he isn't sure he can do the job after years of working as a bartender. Antoine is someone who has never wanted much, including a different profession.
Antoine could hear the hostility in Will's voice. "Lemme holla at you for a second,"
The two men go towards the backdoor where the truck is parked outside.
"What's your problem?"
Will rolls his eyes. "I think -- no, I know my momma shouldn't have put you in charge of this place."
"Then you better take it up with her when she gets back from running errands then," Antoine tells him.
Will touches his left arm. "I'm taking it up with you,"
Antoine restrains himself from using his fist to knock him out. He sets his jaw to express his frustration with this scenario. "Don't touch me,"
"Tell her you don't want to be manager,"
Antoine crosses his arm onto his muscular chest. "Now why, would I do that?"
"You don't even want the damn job," Will remarks. "A manager position is given to someone who wants to move up, not someone who is scared to do so."
"Scared?"
"Yeah, you are. I got more experience than you anyway. I've been working here all of my life. And it's been me who has been doing all of the hard work while you serve drinks." Will responds
Antoine tries to ignore him as best as possible. "Yeah, well, since I'm technically your boss, go back out to serve all the thirsty customers."
He then slams his hand onto his shoulder hard before making his way out of the door, determined not to let Will Jackson get to him no matter how much he already has.
THE CHATEAU
Mala could not believe her husband in name only is here in Radcliffe.
Still, as good-looking as always, Jai Gupta is a tall man in his forties with smooth brown skin and dark hair. He is wearing a white t-shirt underneath a gray long sleeve knit zip sweater with denim pants.
"Dad, what are you doing here?" Samuel inquires curiously
Aaliyah, who has her arm around her father, is smiling brightly. "Daddy, have brunch with us,"
At first, Mala is hesitant, which Jai picks up on; however, she realizes her children wanted him with them, so she relents by gesturing for him to sit next to Aaliyah.
"I wanted to come to visit you two and take care of some business. Also, I wanted to see your mother first, but her secretary told me she was here."
His British accent is more relaxed due to years of him spending summers in the states with his extended family when he was younger.
"Do you know how long are you staying?" Mala inspects
"Not sure yet, depends on certain irons in the fire," Jai says cryptically.
MCKNIGHT RESIDENCE
Jordan thought she would have to be the one to notify Tommy about the pregnancy. Instead, she hears it from him, which nearly makes her double over thankful she can balance herself without him noticing it.
"Who says that I am?"
"Come on, Jordan. I don't have time to play games. Are you pregnant?" Tommy interrogates
Of the corners of her lips, she does a half-smirk. "The answer is yes, I am pregnant with your child,"
Deep down. Tommy knew it was true but hearing verbally from her makes it more of a reality. "Be honest with me do you really want a baby at 18-years-old?"
Jordan places her hands on both of her hips. "Well, it wasn't part of my life plans if that's what you're asking."
She hopes somehow he convinces her he wants to be with her, and they can get together for the sake of their unborn baby she is carrying.
"I can't be a father," he admits
"What are you saying, Tommy?"

Tommy reaches into his back pocket where his wallet is. He then opens it in which he retrieves cash out of it. "Here is six-hundred dollars to take care of it."
"An abortion?" she asks incredulously. She had talked with Tricia about it the other day but didn't expect he would suggest it to her in such a forceful way.
"What happened between us was a mistake that should never happen again."
"You bastard, get out!" Jordan yells
Tommy sees the spirited girl he came to have a connection with looked so fragile. He wanted to reach out to her but fought against it.
"I know I don't have any right to say this to you, but please don't tell, anyone else especially Tanner, about this,"
"Get out!" Jordan whispers
She turns her back on him as she hears him closing the door behind him.
Jordan lets the tears consume her, thinking about how this was not the way she planned for him to find out. She then glances at the hundred dollars bills he left on the glass coffee table. It made her feel dirty, just looking at the money like she was some whore he used for one night.
