Last Time On Town and Country

Jordan fears Daniel is going to take her baby away from her after it's born when she receives papers for sole custody. Tommy plans for her to leave town in which Tricia assists with.

Having overheard her brother's duplicity, Emma decides to blackmail Daniel for access to her trust fund in exchange for her silence.

Tanner is unaware of her boyfriend fathering a child.

Elijah has been pressuring himself to do well academically.
HOME FARM
One hour and forty-five minutes later, Emma Covington gained access to her trust fund once again courtesy of her big brother Daniel, with whom she had an interesting chat earlier this afternoon regarding getting her money back. Notwithstanding having to use extortion concerning her nephew fathering a child by someone that isn't his girlfriend. She is happy she won't have to be dependent on anyone to take care of her financially. Even though she had to use her family's scandal which she feels a tad guilty over it but isn't going to try to lose sleep over it,

As the doorbell rings, Emma goes down the grand staircase loudly informs the family's housekeeper Gabriella who is in the kitchen she's got it as she turns the knob. She doesn't blink at the person who is standing in the doorway.
"You missed me?" Will Jackson asks cockily
Her associate is in a light blue crew neck t-shirt with bootcut jeans.
"Calm down Soulja boy, I will never be that desperate," Emma responds
Emma had contacted Will to come over to the estate so she can speak with him.

She moves out of his way; so he can enter the mansion. He has only been here a few times so it still impresses him on some sort of level, his niece not only married into the richest family, but she gets to call this place home too.
"So why you wanna holla at me?" he questions
Emma smiles widely. "Because I have good news I have to share with you," she replies. "Gabriella, could you bring in the Perignon?"
"What's going on?" Will inquires

The Hispanic housekeeper walks into the living room with a bottle of expensive champagne and two flutes. She quickly puts the items on the coffee table.
"Things are finally looking up for us," Emma announces cheerfully
WHITE OAK, KENTUCKY
The village of White Oak, Kentucky is located two hours north of Radcliffe. The area is known for its breathtaking forestry, it is also where Jordan McKnight will be staying for the last few months of her pregnancy. She follows her best friend Tricia Lockhart into the two-story cabin-style house.

"So what do you think of this house?" Tricia queries. She is carrying in bags of groceries from the market near the town they visited.
Jordan gazes around the space with her suitcase behind her. "It wouldn't be my first choice, but it'll do,"
​
Tricia quickly arranged for her friend to stay here since Daniel is pursuing custody of his grandchild on behalf of Tommy. However, the latter is still adamant about not wanting to be a father decided to help her to get away knowing his father wouldn't stop at just those papers to get what he believes is sole custody of his son.
"You know Tommy could've at least came to make sure the mother of his child is settled."
Jordan sets her luggage in the corner near the wall. "He told me; he'll call me later to check on me,"

Tricia doesn't hide her look of hesitation upon her face. "Sure he is paying for this house, but that doesn't mean he is going to leave Tanner because you're giving him a kid which he doesn't give a damn about. Since he has treated you like something he stepped in from the moment he slept with you."
"He is slowly coming around to me and this baby,"
Tricia scoffs while she strolls throughout the rest of the house.

THE ALLEY
"You're becoming a regular ain't you?" The burly bartender sees Elijah Barker walking into the seedy bar in Hudson Lake.
"Something like that," the college-sophomore counters.
He then takes a seat at the bar where begins pulling his driver's license out of his wallet grateful for being able to drink in here despite being underage.
Though the burly bartender gestures him to put it away. "You drinking to something?"

"I finally got on the Dean's list," Elijah announces proudly.
Elijah had received his grades online this morning. He achieved a 3.8 GPA this semester. Sure, he didn't get all A's as he wanted, but he isn't complaining about being down a few places on the roster. His parents are traveling around Europe for two weeks on their anniversary so he hadn't told him of his accomplishment which he knows they wanted, possibly even more than he did.
"Good on ya boy, first round is on me,"
"Thanks,"

HOME FARM
The sun is setting over Radcliffe as Daniel Covington and Mala Gupta. The two lovers were outside in the hot tub in their swimwear enjoying each other's company. They hadn't had time together since work and family life have been taking up most of their lives. Yet they decided they need to spend this moment with each other.
​
"You seem so tense," Mala remarks while she is rubbing his shoulders feeling the stress in his arms. "Daniel, what is troubling you?"
​
"Work," he lies.
His mind is still on the fact his sister is currently blackmailing him over what is happening regarding his son. He cannot believe her doing this to get her money back. Though, it's better than the alternative for everyone to know the truth. Still, he feels quite confident about pursuing custody which hopefully will get Tommy to realize he is going to be someone's father as much as he does not want to be.
​
Mala continues to palpate him. "All these knots are not good for you,"
"Tell me about it,"
The overly familiar ringtone of his iPhone gets him out of the water to retrieve the device on the table. "Hello,"
"How long has she been gone?" he murmurs.
Mala remains soaking in the tub as she hears a few groans from Daniel which makes her concentrate on him. Shortly he ends the conversation over the phone.
She runs a hand through her wet hair as she watches him attentively. "What is the matter?"
"I've got some last-minute business to take care of," he says
"Well, do you need any help?"
He goes over to her. "It's nothing significant I promise I will be back,"

"If you don't come back soon I will start without you," Mala says coquettishly in her British accent.
They kiss before he takes off for some privacy to handle this circumstance.
LOCKHART LAKE COTTAGE
"When was the last time we binged our favorite shows together?" Tanner Lockhart asks aloud to Lynn Lockhart.
The Lockhart fraternal twins were entering into the living room of the home they grew up in to get a start on the shows they've missed over the season.
The young women were carrying various snack items with them.
"It's been a while hasn't it?" Lynn acknowledges
Due to their work and personal schedules they hadn't much chance to hang out with just themselves.

Tanner and Lenny take a seat beside each other on the couch as Tanner grabs the remote to start the season premiere of 911 on the flat-screen television in front of them.
Lynn looks at her sister being so carefree it instantly makes her feel guilty for keeping the biggest secret she has ever kept from her in their nineteen years of life. Her own boyfriend is having a baby with the one person her sister comes close to hate. She is very much aware she should be upfront with her but believes Tommy should be the one to tell her. However, he hadn't even told her and Jordan will be having the baby this summer.
​
Tanner tucks a few loose strands of her medium-brown hair behind her ears. "I've been thinking about having sex with Tommy again,"
Lenny almost chokes on her popcorn hearing this but grabs her can of Coke to wash it down.
"You okay?"
"Yeah, I'm fine,"
"I mean Tommy and me have been together for two years now and we were about to do it when I got the call that granddad was in the hospital," she replies. "I want to lose my virginity to someone I trust."
​
Lynn places the bowl of popcorn onto the side of her on the sofa. "Tommy hasn't been pressuring you again has he?"
She shakes her head. "No, it's just I finally feel comfortable to be with him in that way again."
"Tanner, look, there is something you need to know,"
The brunette twin unmasks her curiosity when Lynn's phone begins to vibrate near her. "Hey, Elijah, -- who's this? -- yeah, I'll be there in a minute,"
"Hey, what's going on?"

Lynn gets on her feet preparing to go upstairs to get the car keys. "You're not going to believe it, Elijah is at that bar in Hudson Lake Lorenzo told us about smashed."
"Oh my god! Is he okay?"
"All I know is he can't get behind the wheel, so I got to go pick him up."
"Do you want me to come with you?" Tanner suggests

"I'll be all right, I think this is the part of the whole boyfriend-girlfriend duty thing," Lynn says
As she watches her sister head out of the room, she instantly thinks back to Lenny telling her about there is something she should know. Though for the life of her, she doesn't grasp the meaning behind it.

WHITE OAK, KENTUCKY
Jordan wobbles down the wooden staircase to the lower level of the cabin where Tricia is on the phone speaking with someone, she then concludes the call.
"You leaving?" Jordan asks
Tricia turns around to see her pregnant friend. "Yeah, in a few, I told Sean I was visiting a friend of mine from San Diego."
​
Sean doesn't have any idea Jordan is bearing his daughter's boyfriend's offspring and they're going to make sure it stays that way. Not to mention if he did find out how much burden it will put on their marriage.
​
"I'm not even going to try to convince you that Tommy is coming around, but I do appreciate you for sticking by me."
A faint smile spreads across the café manager's appearance. " I don't want you to make the same mistakes I did." Tricia switches emotional gears. "Now you remember everything right?"
"Yeah, I do,"
"I will be using that burner phone to check in on you every day. And when I'm able to I'm going to come out here to visit you. And a week or so before your due date I'll be staying here with you so I can take you to the birthing center to have the baby."
​
Before they had left Radcliffe, it was arranged instead of Jordan giving birth in the hospital in the next town over. Rather, she will have the baby at the local birthing center. Figuring Daniel and his people would track them quicker at a hospital.
Tricia gives her friend a sympathetic hug before she steps out of the house to her car.
Jordan stands around staring around her new surroundings, experiencing so many emotions.
HOME FARM
"Did you hit the lotto or something?" Will challenges
Emma pours herself and him a glass of champagne. Then she passes the flute to him still wondering how she went from essentially Nada to Prada again.
"More like, I'm in the money again, my brother gave me access to my account again," Emma reveals
"Last time I saw y'all, you two were going back and forth about that and him not wanting me to do anything with it."
​
"Well, I laid down the law with him and told him I am capable of making my own decisions. So the two of us becoming partners in this nightclub is now a reality."
"Hey, I drink to that," Will says in a celebratory demeanor.
The unlikely duo finds themselves clinking their glasses collectively.
THE ALLEY
Thankful for the lack of traffic on her way to Hudson Lake. Lynn got to the establishment as the music of Luke Bryan is blaring. She finds herself stepping on empty peanut shells while heading to the bar where Elijah points to her.
​
"There's my girl," he says drunkenly.
"You his girl?" The husky bartender.
"I'm the girl," she replies. "Come on, let's get you home."
She manages to help him get off the stool, however, he blows his breath onto her, which smells of the alcohol he consumed.
​
"Please don't tell the authorities about this. I'll lose my liquor license if anyone found out about serving you kids underage." the beefy bartender pleads.
Lynn turns her head to him. "Luckily, you aren't my concern right now."
"Take it easy out there," the bartender says
Lynn uses her strength to get her boyfriend out of the bar and into the passenger seat buckling him in.
"I feel hot," he complains

Lynn gets in the Fiat where she starts it, she then lowers the window for him. She had never seen Elijah intoxicated in the many years she has known him, though she rules it was a one-time thing as she backs out of the lot and onto the main road.
