HOME FARM: GUEST HOUSE

A new day has arrived within the rural town of Radcliffe, Kentucky, and concurrently, Jordan Covington stands in the Home Farm guest house kitchen visibly anxious as she bites one of her fingernails, trying to think of a way to hold on to her marriage.

The young, wealthy housewife is decked out in a long, fitted navy blue sleeveless vest with matching slacks, while her blonde hair hangs smoothly past her shoulders.

Meanwhile, inaudible noise fills the room while Tommy Covington descends the staircase, buttoning the last few buttons of his shirt before leaving for the office for the day.

Seeing his wife makes him decide to break the unease between them, knowing exactly why it is there.

"Where's Jeremy?"

Jordan finally speaks.

"Lillith came and got him about ten minutes ago," they say regarding their son.

"That's good. Before we know it, he's going to be starting the first grade."

"I still can't believe it," Jordan says incredulously. "Sometimes, it still feels like he's that baby with chubby cheeks who depended on us for everything."

"Tell me about it."

He then decides to switch the conversation, though bracing himself for impact.

"Jordan, what we talked about the other day… about us splitting up… I think you should look into getting a lawyer so they can help you look over the papers, just to confirm everything is on the up and up, and the financial settlement I plan to give you. And of course, you know I will make sure Jeremy is taken care of too."

It doesn't take long for a tidal wave of fury to come across Jordan, knowing she has been against this from the start, believing their marriage is worth salvaging.

"Well, you do what you have to do, but I will do what I have to. You see, moving on with Tanner is the worst thing you could do. Imagine how I'm feeling. You're going to have to explain to our son why Daddy is leaving Mommy to be with someone else," Jordan spews.

Tommy notices the fury she carries every time her former best friend turned rival is mentioned, knowing he and Tanner will soon be leaving Kentucky for St. Paul, Minnesota, when Tanner begins veterinary school.

"I'll take care of it," he finally says.

Jordan scoffs ruefully at her husband.

"You seem to have everything taken care of."

"I understand why you're pissed, but you aren't making this any easier, Jordan."

"You're not making this easier," she fires back as Tommy goes to the refrigerator to grab an energy drink before heading out the door.

"I don't want to come off like the enemy," he says from the other side of the doorway. "But we can't keep living in this limbo."

With that, he shuts the door.

Not long afterward, Jordan notices Tommy’s bag sitting on the sofa in the living room. An idea immediately forms in her mind.

"Tommy!" she calls out to her husband, managing to get his attention before handing him the bag.

"What?" he says while heading toward his car. He then notices his wife holding his work bag, which he had dropped without realizing it was there.

"Thanks for the save,"

However, Jordan quickly manages to grab Tommy’s iPhone out of the bag before handing it over completely.

Once Tommy leaves, she stares down at the phone as if hoping it might finally contain the answers she has been searching for.

Simultaneously, inside the main house on the Home Farm Estate, Daniel and Deirdre Covington are the first to be seated at the breakfast table, where Gertrude and the household staff have prepared a large breakfast spread.

"A beautiful day, isn't it?" Daniel says marvelously.

Deirdre takes a bite of her eggs Florentine, then swallows before responding. "What has put you in this particular mood?"

"Oh, why, Mother? The sun is out, the birds are chirping, and my opportunist brother-in-law is finally out of the company my father, your late husband, founded. It's a beautiful day indeed," Daniel says cheerfully.

"And hopefully one day out of this house for good," Deirdre adds while peering over to spot her eldest grandson and his wife entering the room.

Max and Shauna Covington soon enter together in a somewhat upbeat manner, catching both Daniel and Deirdre's attention.

"Morning," the two spouses say in unison.

As the mother and son acknowledge them, Deirdre picks up her coffee cup.

"Is it just my imagination, or do you two seem unusually merry this morning?"

"Is being in a happy marriage a foreign concept to some at this table?" Max says with his trademark sardonic nature as he and his wife, who emits some laughter, join them at the table.

Deirdre gives a glare of sorts to her grandson before taking a sip of her beverage.

"I applaud your attempt at being clever, Maximillian, but you forget that your grandfather and I were married for over forty years."

Not wanting any added conflict, Max, while placing an assortment of food onto his plate, says, "Mea culpa, Grandmother."

"Speaking of family, where is my granddaughter?" Daniel asks.

"Keri's having her breakfast in the kitchen," Shauna informs them regarding her one-year-old daughter, whom she and

Max is raising. However, Keri is the biological daughter of her former lover, Antoine, which remains unbeknownst to the rest of the family.

The atmosphere shifts when Jacques Laurent and Emma Covington Laurent enter together holding hands, instantly capturing everyone's attention.

"Now that's a foreign concept," Max dryly murmurs while taking a drink of orange juice, referring to his aunt and her husband being so openly affectionate with one another.

"If this is a dream, please wake me up before it's complete," Deirdre says in her overdramatic nature, which gets both her daughter and son-in-law to react.

"Sorry to disappoint you, Deirdre, but it is no dream," Jacques states.

Emma, dressed in a dark green A-line dress with a removable belt and black pumps, then speaks.

"Well, sorry to disappoint you, Mother, but this is reality, and Jacques and I have every right to be happy."

As the two of them take their place at the table, Daniel doesn't take his eyes off Jacques.

"While you're basking in your pleasure, your husband damn near bankrupted our family company due to his incompetence, so I will not apologize for not being enthralled by your renewed marital bliss," Daniel candidly remarks.

Although it may appear that way to most of the family, the truth is that Daniel himself constructed the plan, even managing to get Tommy's assistance in pushing the Miami land deal — which Tommy had suggested to Jacques — despite knowing the investment was illegitimate. The goal had been to force the board to vote Jacques out of the company. In addition,

Daniel is also attempting to reclaim the CEO position that his daughter, Courtney, now holds.

Jacques places some quiche onto his plate and looks directly at his brother-in-law.

"You may have gotten what you wanted, but I assure you that I did not invest the company's money into worthless marshland," he says, his temper rising along with his accent.

"I knew it was a reason why we had Keri eat away from all of this," Shauna whispers to her husband, which Max nods in agreement.

"I feel like I will regret asking this, but why are both of you so delighted this morning?" Deirdre asks.

Both Jacques and Emma turn toward each other, silently communicating over whether they should reveal their news. A certain look from Jacques encourages Emma to proceed.

Emma takes a breath before speaking.

"Well, Jacques and I have an announcement that we feel we must share with you all."

"What? Jacques decided to go back to his home country, and you two will have a long-distance marriage?" Daniel retorts.

"Sorry to burst your ornery bubble there, big brother, but it's not that. I'm pregnant!"

The announcement shocks everyone at the table into silence, as none of them had expected that revelation this morning.

Though one of them doesn't remain silent for long.

"Have you completely lost your mind?!" Deirdre poses.

HOPE COTTAGE

Justin Hartley as Steven Sullivan_edited.jpg
Lexi Ainsworth as Courtney Covington Sullivan_edited.jpg
William Lipton as Evan Sullivan_edited.jpg
Chosen Jacobs as Micah Kelley_edited.jpg
Cress Williams as Ray Kelley_edited.jpg

Across town, Steven Sullivan stands in the center of the kitchen of the residential cottage he shares with his wife and teenage son, speaking on the phone with his ex-wife about their son and his latest act of rebellion, which occurred the other night.

"Lorraine, of course I wouldn't have kept this from you… 'cause last time I checked, we're both his parents…. Well, I do agree that he can't keep acting out like this… so what do we suggest we do then? Yes, he does need to learn responsibility.

I will speak with him about it, although I anticipate he may not respond positively. I will talk to you later. Take care, bye."

As the call ends, footsteps descend from the staircase into the kitchen as Steven turns to see Courtney Covington Sullivan dressed in a dark purple linen jumpsuit with her Louis Vuitton briefcase attached to her shoulder.

The tension between the husband and wife remains evident after their argument the other night, which centered on

Courtney kissing Jacques late last year. This revelation came to light while they were in the midst of reconciling their marriage at the spa in Hudson Lake.

Steven feels the need to say something to ease the awkwardness in the air.

"Uh, I just got off the phone with Lorraine, who was in the middle of her ballet class. We both agreed something has to be done with Evan."

Lorraine, along with her new husband Emilio, had moved to Boston, citing that as the reason the teenager moved in with Steven and Courtney.

Courtney dips her head to indicate her concurrence on that statement, without interjecting much of an opinion, since Evan is her stepson and she doesn't have a strong relationship with him.

He then notices her briefcase.

"So, you're on your way to the office, then?"

Courtney lets out a brief exhale while trying to say the right thing.

"Yes, I thought I would go in since I doubt you are ready to talk… but Steven, we can't leave things like this between us for much longer. I know what I did was wrong, but I'm willing to fix things," she says candidly.

"Sadly, this isn't the first time I've heard you say you wanted to fix things, Courtney, but it's going to take some time to process my wife kissing her aunt's husband on a business trip… and keeping it from me until you got caught," Steven says sharply.

"Well, when you decided to sleep on the couch last night, I got the message. So, what do you want to do about it… about us, then?" she expresses wholeheartedly.

Wanting to say something else, Steven peeks behind his wife, knowing for now it would have to wait as Evan Sullivan, alongside Micah Kelley, steps foot inside the room.

"Morning," Evan says respectfully.

“Mr. and Mrs. Sullivan, I’m sorry for what went down last night,” Micah says.

Steven and Courtney trade a look.

“We don’t hold you responsible,” Steven informs him as he gazes at his son, knowing it was Evan who decided to throw a party that got so out of control with alcohol and other illegal activities involving minors.

Courtney and Steven exchange terse greetings with the teenagers while Steven places his hands upon his hips.

"I appreciate you two straightening everything up around here," the veterinarian remarks, his tone sounding paternal and disappointed.

"Well, I'd better get going. See you later," Courtney says as she gives her husband one last look before taking off on her way out.

She passes Ray Kelley, who is about to ring the doorbell.

"How ya doing, boss?" the tall man says.

Ray works as a construction worker for the Covington Group.

"I'm all right," Courtney says, trying to hide her true feelings. "You?"

"That depends on the damage my son has done."

Courtney reflects on her walking on Micah and his girlfriend Gemma nearly having sex in her bedroom, though with nothing happened, she lets it not get out as she waves him off before heading toward her Lexus sedan.

"Anyone in here?" Ray's voice echoes throughout the cottage.

"Sounds like your dad’s here," Evan remarks.

Micah doesn't hide his dread at hearing that.

"Oh, great. It was nice knowing y’all.”

"We're in here," Steven calls out.

Ray enters the kitchen, spotting his oldest son alongside his best friend and that friend's father.

"Steven, let me tell you, if I knew the boys were planning this behind our backs, I would've never let Micah set foot out of the house," Ray says apologetically.

Steven can immediately spot why Micah would be fearful of his father.

Ray shoots Evan a look that silently displays that if Steven weren't standing there, he would give the teenager a serious piece of his mind, though he restrains himself.

"Most importantly, no one got hurt," Steven says. "And I know my son's misjudgment might make you rethink things, but I assure you he will receive consequences for his actions."

"Well, it looks like these boys will have something in common because this one will be facing some consequences himself," Ray declares. "Was anything damaged?" he asks while reaching for his wallet. "I can chip in…"

Steven shakes his head.

"Nothing was broken, and I promise you Micah is always welcome here anytime."

Ray can detect the sincerity in his voice, while Micah tells his best friend and Steven goodbye. Before leaving, he gives Evan an unreadable look.

Micah scoops up his bag by the door with Ray following behind him. As soon as the front door shuts, silence falls between the Sullivan men.

"I think it's about time we talk, don't you?" Steven states while Evan rolls his eyes.

JOJO'S CAFE

While the warm, brightly sunlit morning provides everyone with a much-needed boost of energy outside, inside Jojo's Cafe, “Domino” by Jessie J plays on the establishment's sound system, attempting to do the same for the customers inside. However, for Gemma Grier and Skye Park, the music is the last thing on their minds as the two friends sit beside each other at a table near the large window overlooking Main Street, catching up on last night's party.

"So, what did you do when she came in on you guys?" Skye asks curiously, relieved that today is an off day at the cafe.

Her friend had filled her in on Evan's parents coming home out of the blue after having left town for the weekend.

However, not only was the party busted up, but their first time together was ruined as well.

Gemma takes a much-needed sip of her black iced tea before responding. "Hoping and praying for anything to make the moment go away," she says, obviously. "So, when she told me to leave, I got the hell out of there."

Skye brushes some of her hair out of her face and scoffs. "Tell me about it."

"Something happened to you at the party, too?"

The gothic teenager flashes a glance, indicating so.

"Uh, while you and Micah were upstairs, your crush and I were trying to make sure his house didn't turn into a warzone," she starts.

Gemma had admitted to her crush on Evan despite being involved with someone else.

"And?" Gemma says, pressing her to continue.

Skye takes a sip of coffee before doing so.

"Anyway, while I was making sure nothing got broken, I went outside and overheard Evan and Kier rating girls, and eventually they got to me."

"Oh no, do I wanna know?" Gemma says.

"Let's just say Evan wouldn't want to be with, in his words, the wannabe Wednesday Addams. So before I knew it, we went back inside, and I dumped a whole bowl of punch over his head and left. I'm glad he got even more embarrassed by his parents coming home."

Gemma shakes her head. "What? He said that?"

"Oh yeah, and he tried to apologize after the fact, but I wasn’t trying to hear it."

"Well, I know one thing," Gemma says while taking a sip of her tea through the straw.

"What?"

"I don't see parties in my near future."

"You, me, same," Skye expresses

Melinda Shankar as Aaliyah Gupta_edited.jpg
Nazneen Contractor as Jes Choudhury_edited.jpg

Meanwhile, at another table, Aaliyah Gupta is only half focused on her iPad during her umpteenth attempt at job searching, though her main thoughts are centered on the fact that Jacques hasn’t returned her texts from last night. She had wanted a rendezvous with him, as the two have been sleeping together as of recently; nonetheless, she hasn't gotten any responses from him in the last twenty-four hours.

Unable to get her mind off it, she retrieves her phone and decides to leave a voice note, which she records due to the low patron traffic inside the cafe.

"It's me… normally I wouldn't do this, but I was wondering what's going on. Are things still good between us, or is it something else? I don't want to come across as some crazy person… Just let me know what's going on? Bye!"

As Aaliyah settles on hitting send on the device, she looks up; however, she sees someone standing nearby the table who, by the look on their face, obviously overheard her.

Jes Choudhury holds her work bag and is attired in a gray blazer with a white blouse and slacks, while her dark hair is styled in her trademark curls.

"Hi," the attorney remarks purposefully. "Should I even ask who you were leaving that message for?"

Aaliyah doesn't hide her displeasure at having her family friend in her presence, especially in this specific moment, knowing Jes had been close to Jacques even before everything started.

“I thought you would be at your office taking care of your legal briefs."

Jes can detect the bite in the younger woman's voice.

"Well, I was at the office doing some work, but I thought I'd take a small break to come get a treat. But now I'm glad that I did, Aaliyah. I know you don't want to hear this, but you should keep in mind what I said about any involvement with Jacques—that is not a good idea."

"No need to be concerned," Aaliyah says, trying to avoid the subject.

However, Jes takes a seat across from her at the table.

"I guess it's an open invite," Aaliyah says sarcastically.

"Speaking as someone who had her own sordid history with her boss, I'm just looking out for you. I know it's not fun being out of a job, but how about this? How about you come work for me as my assistant?"

"I thought you already had an assistant?" Aaliyah says, rolling her eyes.

"I do, but she had to go home to Owensboro to care for her father, who is ill, and doesn't know when she'll be back. What do you say?"

"Thanks, but no thanks," Aaliyah tells her.

Jes knows it was a long shot but decided to go for it anyway, knowing that deep down, Aaliyah is a smart and reliable person, despite the mistakes she's currently making by being involved with a married man.

"Well, the offer still stands," Jes says casually. "Just think about it, and if you do take it, then it would get Mala off your back."

Aaliyah's mother had been pressuring her for months to find another job after losing her assistant position due to Jacques being voted out of Covington.

"Like I said, thanks anyway. I got to go, but the table is yours. Tootles."

With that, she rises from her seat, grabs her tablet, places it into her purse, and saunters off, leaving Jes there knowing by now that this affair her friend got herself into won't end well, reminding her of her own complicated relationships at the moment too.

HOPE COTTAGE

Justin Hartley as Steven Sullivan_edited.jpg
William Lipton as Evan Sullivan_edited.jpg

Steven, who remains on his feet, signals for Evan to take a seat at the table, which he wordlessly obliges.

"I don't like being the bad guy, but in this situation, I think it's warranted."

"Dad—"

"I'm not done saying what I have to say. What you did is making it hard for Courtney and me to trust you."

"Dad, I—"

"I'm still talking!" Steven exclaims, his voice rising more than he anticipated, also catching Evan a bit off guard since he had never really been on this side of his father's anger.

"I'm not going to say it isn't partly my fault, 'cause when you first moved here, I let things go, thinking a relaxed approach would make matters better. 'Cause I know you hadn't fully transitioned from living with your mother and Emilio, but I see now that was the wrong thing, which is why both your mother and I came up with a suitable punishment for you."

Evan takes the few seconds of silence as his opportunity to finally start speaking.

"So, lemme guess, I'm on the first plane to Boston?"

"What?"

Evan gives an obvious look toward his old man.

"Mom wants me back living with her and Emilio? And that way you and Courtney can go back to normal?"

"What?" Steven asks, surprised. "No. What makes you say that, Evan?"

Evan shrugs.

"I dunno. I figured you're tired of me like she was, so that's why I moved here anyway."

Steven can hear the seriousness in his son's voice and overall demeanor.

"Is that what you think? That your mother and I don't want you around?"

"Like you care."

Steven immediately shakes his head at that remark.

"Look, okay, I know I haven't been the perfect father to you growing up, but if there's one thing that's always been true, it's that I care about you. But you have to learn you can't act out just because you think you can. A lot could've happened that night that thankfully didn't. We all just want you to understand that."

"So, I don't have to leave?"

Steven can spot that earnestness in his son that used to appear when Evan was a little kid getting permission to do something he wanted.

"Not unless you want to. But if you want to continue living here, then you have to follow the rules, and that is why you're grounded."

"For how long?" Evan asks exasperatedly.

"One month."

Evan flashes a look of annoyance at hearing that sentence, knowing it will affect his out-of-school plans now that summer is coming.

"And your mother thinks it's best that you get a part-time job," Steven adds, causing Evan to be taken aback by that.

"What if I can't find anything?"

Steven offers a warmer glance toward his only offspring.

"Well, it doesn't have to happen today. We just think it's time you learn some responsibility, so when you think about throwing unsupervised parties again, this will make you think twice."

"I can't take what I did back, but if I knew it was going to cost me having a free summer, I wouldn't have done it."

He also recalls the way he treated Skye, resulting in him having a bowl of punch dumped over his head, which took almost an hour to get the stickiness out of his hair.

With that, Steven watches Evan walks out of the kitchen while he remains standing there, reflecting on fatherhood and his latest marital situation.

HOME FARM

Elizabeth Hendrickson as Emma Covington Laurent_edited.jpg
Annie Potts as Deirdre Covington_edited.jpg

While the rest of the Covington's remain at the table, Emma quickly counters her mother’s claim that she’s out of her mind, saying, “Oh wow! Congratulations. Oh, why, thank you, Mother. We’re thrilled with the news too,” she adds sarcastically.

"Congratulations, you two," Shauna says, mostly out of courtesy.

"Yeah, congrats," Max replies, taking his wife's lead.

Jacques tips his head to acknowledge the other spouses.

Emma motions toward them. "You see how easy it is to be at least courteous when you hear something other than bad news."

By now, Daniel has finished eating a bran muffin.

"Emma, no offense, but how do you expect some of us to react to finding out you're carrying the child of a man who has a history of taking advantage of not only you, but this family, too?"

"Do not go there," Emma says warningly.

Jacques then chimes in. “Well, from one unemployed member of this family to another, whether you like it or not, this child is going to be part of this family. I'm sure in no time he or she will have Uncle Danny wrapped around their little fingers."

Daniel shows his lack of enthusiasm by simply taking a cold sip of his coffee.

"Emma, may I speak to you alone in private?" Deirdre says, more as an order than a question.

"You don't have to if you do not want to," Jacques says to his wife.

Although Emma relents, stepping away from the table, Deirdre follows her outside the dining room.

“Are you sure about this?” Deirdre whispers.

“Sure, about what?” Emma asks.

“Global warming,” Deirdre replies facetiously before clarifying, “No, you're carrying Jacques’ baby. I mean, look at all the strikes against him.”

"So, I should just get an abortion, is that what you're saying to me?"

Deirdre folds her arms across her petite frame.

"No, of course not. It's just that I want better for you. Not someone like Jacques Laurent!"

Emma shakes her head at the mere mention of strikes.

"Jacques isn't the only person with strikes under this roof. Let's not forget all of my dear brother's, including gaslighting, which inadvertently caused his son to be paralyzed for nearly a year. But somehow, my husband's supposed mistake, on top of his past mistakes, makes him enemy number one around here. It's laughable, Mother."

"Well, we're not talking about your brother right now? This is about you," Deirdre says, less firmly.

Emma gives a glance that once again shows her older brother is her mother's favorite child.

"Look, I'm aware that my husband is far from perfect, but we are doing our best to work through things, and I know I will never have your unwavering support, and that's fine. But I won't stand for you or Daniel continuing to insult my husband and criticize my life choices. You lost that right when you kept my questionable paternity a secret from me most of my life," Emma snaps back.

A wave of remorse comes over the red-haired woman.

"I apologize that my choice made you feel that way, but I do not regret making that decision because you would not have had all the opportunities you were born with and still retain."

Emma responds with biting sarcasm.

“Thank you, Mother, for always looking at the bigger picture,” before returning to the table.

Deirdre shakes her head, knowing this situation is headed for failure on all sides.

Meanwhile, Jacques scrolls on his phone, noticing texts and a voice note from Aaliyah as he begins to type a response, only to be interrupted by Daniel, who remarks, “It seems like something has your full and undivided attention.”

Max wryly adds, “I think that’s my father’s way of making conversation,” prompting Jacques to put his phone away.

Jacques turns his focus back to Emma, and the two appear content — at least on the surface.

COVINGTON GROUP

Lexi Ainsworth as Courtney Covington Sullivan_edited.jpg
Lucas Adams as Tommy Covington_edited.jpg

Despite being in the place that usually brings her the most serenity, Courtney is having a hard time concentrating on her work behind her desk on the twentieth floor of Covington Tower, home to the Covington Group. Her mind races with uneven thoughts about how everything had unfolded and whether she should warn Jacques that Steven knows, aware that it could spread further.

She is then interrupted by a knock at the door, prompting her to respond indistinctly to whoever it is. Looking up, she sees Tommy, who, in turn, notices the perturbation on his sister's face.

"You okay?" he asks her. "When Evelyn told me you were in the office, I figured something had happened on your trip with Steven."

"Oh, well, we did make it to the spa, but we soon found out that in our absence, Evan decided to throw an out-of-control party at the cottage, which effectively ended our getaway. But I thought since I'm back, I might as well get some work done — or at least try to. So, what's going on with you?" she says, expertly changing the conversation.

By now, the young executive has closed the door behind him, taking a seat across from his CEO sister.

"There have been a few developments, which is why I'm here."

"Why do I have a feeling that I'm not going to like what I'm about to hear?"

"You're the first person in the family to know this," Tommy prefaces. "But my marriage to Jordan is over."

Courtney quickly mulls over that piece of information.

"Well, I'm not going to pretend that I'm disappointed in hearing that because I know why you married Jordan in the first place, but for Jeremy's sake, I feel the worst," she remarks of her nephew. "And what is the other development?" she asks trepidatiously.

Tommy gestures with his finger before answering her.

"Also, um, I've been seeing Tanner secretly for some time now, and in fact, she got into veterinary school in Minnesota, which she will be going to, and I intend to move there to be with her."

Trying to gauge his sister's reaction to the news, he can detect that it comes as a surprise.

"Well, I wasn't expecting to hear that," Courtney notes. "But you're an adult who can make your own decisions."

Tommy nods, glad his sister is not being judgmental about this, even though she may be holding some of her feelings back.

"Anyway, I'm here to give you my resignation in person. I think with everything, I need a clean break," he tells her.

Courtney immediately puts out both of her hands to refute his statement.

"Slow down. Look, I understand you wanting to start your life with Tanner elsewhere, but that does not mean you have to give up everything."

"Courtney," Tommy says hesitantly.

"At least consider a leave of absence. And that way, it will give you some time to think about your next move. If you want to stay, you can work remotely and, if need be, commute. But if you decide otherwise, just at least think about it, okay?"

Tommy can't help but feel guilty since his sister is being so considerate, knowing he played a role not only in getting Jacques out of the company, deservedly so, but also in how it will likely affect Courtney's role as CEO.

"All right, I will think about it," Tommy relents.

As he goes into his pocket, he realizes something is not there.

"Oh, not again."

"What?"

"I think I left my phone again," he answers.

On the day of the board meeting, he had also lost his phone and later found it at home.

A playful smirk somewhat curves upon the businesswoman's face.

"Sounds like Ginkgo Biloba might need to become your friend."

By now, Tommy is on his feet, preparing to leave.

"I tell you what, if I continue to lose the rest of my things, then make sure you get them for me."

Courtney modestly chuckles while watching her brother depart her office, unknowingly allowing the distraction to briefly get her mind off her own troubles, including the future of her marriage.

HOME FARM: GUEST HOUSE

Jordan possesses Tommy’s phone once again; however, this time, she’s determined to be thorough. She already knows the passcode — their son’s birthday.

She scrolls through his recent messages, spotting one from Max and two from Elijah, though nothing immediately stands out. Then she notices a text from “Dad,” which instantly piques her interest. Attached is a PDF file.

Curious, she opens it and finds detailed information regarding land property in Miami — figures, documents, and notes.

She frowns slightly.

“What is this?" she murmurs to herself.

At first, she wonders if it’s just another potential business deal. But then it clicks — Jacques’ termination tied to the Miami land deal, along with those secret meetings between father and son that she had walked in on more than once.

Slowly, the pieces begin to fall into place.

Without hesitation, Jordan decides to act. Quickly making sure Tommy isn't nearby, she discreetly forwards the PDF to her own phone before immediately deleting the sent message thread afterward, careful to leave no obvious trace behind.

A sense of satisfaction washes over her as everything begins to make sense.

“Got you,” she boldly declares.
