FRANKLIN FARM : MAIN HOUSE
Martha Saunders thought the only strange occurrence in her life today would be the visit from Deirdre Covington. However, as she sits here in the kitchen reading the card that came with the flowers. She brought for her mother. Her unique penmanship began to look familiar to her, and in a flash, it automatically hits her. The handwriting is also on the letter they found a few months ago written to their grandfather from years ago detailing the affair she felt they must end.

"Oh my god," she gasps again at the revelation.
Across from her, Louise Saunders Lockhart is consuming herself with straightening the flowers in the vase on the counter. "Anything you want to share with the class there, Martha?"
When Martha is about to respond, Steven, along with Courtney, Lynn, and Tanner, enter into the room via the side door. An exchange of greetings and hugs our made within.

"So, how was Hawaii tell us everything?" Martha says, changing the subject.
"A lot of interesting developments happened," Courtney answers somewhat cryptically.
The four of them had just returned to town from spending the weekend in Oahu, where they attended Sean and Tricia's destination wedding.
​
"It's one interesting development in the living room," Louise says. "Courtney, your grandmother is here."
"Really?" Courtney says surprisingly. "Well, that explains why I thought I saw one of my dad's BMW's outside."
"I think it is a sign," Steven mumbles.
"What are you talking about?" Martha inquiries
"You'll find out," Lynn replies
Both Martha and Louise are left curious as to what is going on?
Louise sees her brunette daughter looks as if she has been crying. "Are you okay, sweetheart?"
Tanner nods her head solemnly. "Yeah, I'll be fine, mom,"

Louise follows behind Steven, Courtney, and Martha into the living room.
Lynn remains in the kitchen with her fraternal twin sister, who is still dealing with the heartbreak of finding out Tommy had kissed Jordan during Max and Shauna's wedding reception last summer. She gets her phone from her messenger bag to send out a text.
Steven, Courtney, Louise, and Martha discover the two older woman making small talk with one another in the living room.
Sarah Lynn Saunders turns to see her daughters, nephew, and his girlfriend. "Hey," she greets them pleasantly.
"How was your trip?" Deirdre inquires
Steven wraps his arm around his petite lover. "We have something important to tell everybody,"
"Hi everyone," Esther Saunders remarks while she comes through the front door. Nonetheless, when her eyes land on Dee, she wishes she can exit back out to her Jaguar.

"Steven and I are getting married," Courtney announces.
HOME FARM : GUEST HOUSE
Tommy Covington had come home to the mansion after his pilgrimage from the airport, where he was on two flights from his trip to Oahu in which he asked Gabriella if his brother was home. The longtime housekeeper informed him about his whereabouts, which were here probably working on his photography.
"Max," he calls out
A couple of seconds later, he hears footsteps descending downstairs.
"Nice Tan," Max Covington says to his younger brother.
Tommy was exposed more to the sun on the island than he expected even though he did put on sunscreen.
​
The two guys embrace one another. As Tommy begins filling him in on the trip regarding the wedding which Max is surprised it didn't have any drama knowing Tricia is someone who thrives on it.
"You and Tanner got closer?" Max asks genuinely
Tommy chuckles uncomfortably. "I thought we were, but we got into a fight."
Max and he get settled into the living room of the guest house, where the two sit on the couch. "You two had fought before. I'm sure you two will make up by tonight," Max suggests
Tommy shakes his head. "If it was only that easy,"
"Tommy, what happened in Hawaii?"
"We were close to having sex in my hotel room; however, she changed her mind in which we got into this huge fight where I accidentally told her I kissed Jordan last summer at your wedding to Shauna."
Max has an expression of being amazement at that confession. "Come again,"
"I know it sounds bad, but things get worse,"
"What else happened?"
"I went to Jordan's hotel room and the next thing I know. The two of us were having sex."
Before Tommy can notice, a hand hits him in the back of his head. Realizing it belongs to his brother, who is sitting in front of him.
"What the hell is wrong with you?"
SAMPSON UNIVERSITY: NORTHVILLE DORMITORY
Pop-rock music is playing through Lorenzo Vidal's laptop fills the background of the dorm room he shares with Elijah Barker. His cousin manages the new and upcoming band in their hometown of Philadelphia. Currently, though, he and his roommate were listening to their friend Aaliyah Gupta complaining about being out of the loop regarding her parents' marital status.
​
"It's not like I want my parents back together, but I at least could've found out from my mother about her plans to divorce my father at the same time my brother did," Aaliyah says.
The young woman is pacing back and forth in the room.
Elijah is lying down on his bunk working; on an assignment for English, that counts for twenty-percent of his final grade. "You talked to your dad yet?"
Aaliyah puts her hand on her hip. "No, I haven't,"
Lorenzo, who has a crush on Aaliyah, decides to speak up. "Don't get mad, but does it matter if you were the first or the last one to find out. I mean, it sounds like your mom is doing it anyway."
Aaliyah is left verklempt at his statement while she takes a seat at Elijah's desk.
​
Getting down from the top bunk, Lorenzo climbs down the ladder. "All right, the two of us are getting out of here, get some air,"
Aaliyah decides to go with him; the two say bye to Elijah, who is still doing homework. He hadn't realized he received a text on his phone until he sees it is from his girlfriend.

Hey, we're back. Can u come over to the farm?

COVINGTON GROUP
Despite it being Sunday on the calendar, Daniel Covington is getting caught up with emails in his office suite. Clicking on his desktop computer, he views an email from HR stating the head of the Digital Media department is leaving. As he thinks about the departure, someone knocks on the door.
"Come in," he says
Mala Gupta saunters into the room, wearing a red v-neck silk blouse underneath a black Calvin Klein belted trench coat with a pair of blue jeans.
"I figured you would be here," Mala says of her lover. The two kiss each other as she sits across from at his desk.
Daniel now recalls she told her daughter about her officially divorcing her ex-husband.
Mala exasperatedly sighs as she puts her purse on the desk in front of her.

"That good, huh?" Daniel puts
​
"Her fury has to do more with her finding out last."
A few hours prior, Mala had picked up her daughter to have a chat at the café in which she informed her about filing for divorce. Her daughter got so upset about not being told when her brother was. She ended up getting a cab back to campus. Thankfully Aaliyah left a text message letting her know she made it back to school safely.
"Anything I can do?" Daniel inquiries
Mala shrugs slightly. "No, it's my daughter, and I haven't gotten along since she became a teenager. I want her to go one way, but she goes the other."
Daniel by, now, is out of his chair, going behind her to massage her shoulders.
"That is the way it is with Max and myself. I've always been closest to Courtney."

"You're lucky you're close to your daughter," Mala says meaningfully. She feels some of the tension fleeting as he continues to use his hands.
"Everything will work out, Mala," he advises

SAMPSON UNIVERSITY : ASHTON DORMITORY
Walking across campus were Aaliyah and Lorenzo were able to get some fresh air. The two ended up in her dorm room. He sees the lilac floral printed tulle dress with ruffle skirt detailing is hugging the mannequin standing in the corner by the wall near the beds.
"You're talented," he tells her.
Aaliyah hangs the strap of her purse on the knob of her closet. "Thanks, even if my mother heard you. She would still say I should become an engineer because it is a real career."
"Don't let your mom or anybody stop you from doing something you love,"
She nods, ready to alter the point of conversation. "So, your parents pleased to have a rising cameraman?"
Lorenzo is a film and television major who works behind the scenes at the campus news station.
Lorenzo laughs at that comment. "I think they're more proud of me for being the first one in the family to even go to college."
"Really?"

"From where I'm from college, isn't a right more like a privilege,"
"Well, for me, attending college was something drilled into me from infancy," Aaliyah says somewhat sarcastically.
Lorenzo inches closer to her, seeing a smirk upon her face. "Want to grab lunch together, just the two of us?" he asks.
Aaliyah smiles. "Yeah, that sounds good,"
HOME FARM : GUEST HOUSE
Why'd you hit me?" Tommy asks. He rubs the back of his head to relieve the minor pain.
"Have you lost your damn mind, Tommy?" Max inquiries seriously. "I thought that the spoiled boy who got expelled from boarding school grew up, but it seems like you reverted to him again."
Tommy knows he made a big mistake by cheating on Tanner with Jordan. But he did not know his brother would be the one to come down hard on him. "I know I screwed up, but she doesn't have to know."
Max gets on his feet, unsure of what to say or do with Tommy. "Look, I care about you, man, that's is why I'm trying to see how much you screwed up.
"What should I do then?"

"Honestly, give Tanner time to deal with what she found out," he replies. But you got to decide whether or not you want to make effort to stay with Tanner or if your feelings for Jordan are real and you want to be with her because you can't have both of them, little brother."
FRANKLIN FARM : MAIN HOUSE
Elijah drove the thirty-five minutes from Sampson out to Franklin Farm. He arrives through the side door into the kitchen, where he goes over to Lynn to hug and kiss her welcoming, her back from Oahu.
He then spots Tanner sitting at the table looking dazed, which is unique for his longtime best friend.
Elijah then takes a seat adjacent to her. "Hey, what's going on?" he asks.
​
Tanner slowly exhales. "You're going to find out anyway. Tommy kissed Jordan at Max and Shauna's wedding reception last summer."
​
Elijah is astounded to hear it coming from her. Not because of the reveal because he has known this for over a year now. He instantly feels guilty for keeping this from Tanner. Then again, it isn't exactly his place to tell her about Tommy being unfaithful.
"Sadly, that's not the most shocking thing that happened," Lynn says
Elijah is puzzled as to what she is referring to.
Tanner takes a strand of her brown hair and tucks it behind her ear. "Jordan flew to Oahu apparently Tricia invited her; did you know the two of them were BFFs?"
"Sounds like the vacation from hell," Elijah observes
Tanner scoffs. "You have no idea, Elijah,"
"Congratulations, you two," Martha says excitedly. Being close to her cousin she knows this is a huge step for him.
"Congratulations," Sarah Lynn and Louise reply in unison.
"Thanks," Steven remarks.
"Grandma, are you going to say anything?" Courtney asks
"Mom?" Steven says in the same vein as his fiancée.
"As long as this is what you want. I can accept it, sweetheart," Dee proclaims.
She comes to her to hold her granddaughter's hands as a sign of affection. Courtney showcases the diamond solitaire ring upon her finger.
"Looks like we have two women engaged in the family," Dee remarks candidly on the fact both of her daughter and granddaughter getting married.
​
Esther is standing up with both of her arms folded onto her chest. "If this is what you want, then I'm happy for you, Steven,"
​
As the others begin asking questions about the proposal, Esther knew she handled the situation responsibly. Nonetheless, she is aware it is going to be an uphill battle when it comes to telling Daniel about their engagement. She wishes he was marrying anyone else other than Deirdre Covington's grandchild.
